A Guide to Wind Farm Accommodation in Cleethorpes

The wind farm industry is booming, with the Humber and North Sea regions at the forefront of renewable energy development. As a result, a growing number of wind farm contractors and professionals are flocking to these areas for project assignments. For those seeking comfortable and convenient accommodation options, Cleethorpes could offer the perfect solution.

When staying away from home there are typically three options for contractors.

  1. Hotel or B&B-type guest house
  2. Take a short-let in an Airbnb type property
  3. Rent somewhere long-term

Hotels can be impersonal, mean you spend time on your own and and can become expensive for more than a few nights. You will need a contract of at least 6 months in order to make renting long-term feasible.

A short-let in an Airbnb or serviced accommodation is often the most convenient and economical.

In this guide, we'll explore why serviced accommodation in this picturesque coastal town is the ideal choice for contractors in the green energy industry. More

History of The Old Lost Shepherd

Once a 32 seater restaurant with a bar, seating area and oblong dining room owned by Graham and Cheryl Flannagan. It was a comfortable restaurant popular for celebrations.

Menu items included: hot chicken and mushroom croquettes with a light Dijon mustard sauce and pan fried sirloin steak with spring onion crust and ginger, and sherry and garlic sauce. Desserts included a chocolate and orange cake with a marmalade dressing.

Matt Young and Vicky Tasker took over in 2004, employing Pascal Auneunier, a French chef to update the menu.

Just two years later, planning permission had been granted to convert the closed restaurant into two self-contained flats.
